The Sphinx in Egypt

The only one of its kind in the world it has the body of a lion and the head of a king or a god or both, a god-king. It symbolizes the power and majesty of ancient Egypt as well as its mystical culture which still evokes a feeling of awe and a sense of an other-worldly dimension. They were a civilization of building things that are great and unparalleled.
